Privacy policy

movinghouse.app is operated by GuideMode Ltd (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website and planner, why we need it and what we do with it. We’ve tried to keep it short and plain.
Who we are
The controller of your personal data is GuideMode Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16839248). Registered office: The Old Post Office, 41-43 Market Place, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 3HR, United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@movinghouse.app.
What we collect
Your account
When you sign in we store your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Microsoft, the name and profile picture that provider shares with us, plus an identifier for your account with them. If you sign in with an emailed link we store your email address and use the part before the @ as your name. We never see or store your Google or Microsoft password.
Your plans
We store the floor plans you draw and the furniture lists you add, including names, sizes and positions, so you can come back to them. Plans are private to your account unless you create a share link.
Payments
If you buy a Moving Pass, the payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never see or store them. We keep a record that you bought a pass, when it expires and the Stripe references needed to confirm or refund the payment.
Technical information
Like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic request information (such as browser type) to deliver pages, keep the service secure and fix problems. We don’t use this to build a profile of you.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To save, show and share your plans as you ask us to.
- To apply the free plan’s limits and provide Moving Pass features (unlimited plans and furniture, AI auto-place) while your pass is active.
- To process payments and handle refunds.
- To send you sign-in emails. We don’t send marketing emails.
- To keep the service secure and working.
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on performing our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads. We use a small number of service providers to run movinghouse.app:
- Cloudflare hosts the website, the planner and our database.
- Cloudflare Workers AI processes AI auto-place requests. When you use auto-place, your room shapes and furniture sizes are sent to the AI model to suggest a layout. Your name and email are not included.
- Stripe processes Moving Pass payments.
- Resend delivers sign-in emails, so it receives your email address.
- Google and Microsoft, if you choose to sign in with them.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Share links
When you share a plan, anyone with the link can view that plan’s name, floor plan and furniture without signing in. They can’t edit it or see anything else in your account. Only send links to people you trust. You can stop sharing, or replace the link with a new one, at any time; the old link then stops working.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a few short-lived cookies during Google or Microsoft sign-in to keep it secure. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there’s no cookie banner.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and plans for as long as you have an account. Sign-in links expire after a short time and are then deleted. Payment records may be kept for longer where we need them for tax or accounting.
Your rights and deleting your account
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and all of your plans. Email hello@movinghouse.app from the address you sign in with and we’ll deal with it promptly. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant we’ll let you know in the planner.
