About movinghouse.app
Updated
movinghouse.app is an online floor planner that checks whether the furniture you already own will fit your next home. It’s made by GuideMode Ltd, a small software company in Chippenham, England.
Why it exists
Moving home comes with one question that most room planners don’t answer directly: will our stuff fit? Most planners are built for designing rooms with a catalogue of new furniture. We wanted something that starts from a list of what you own, works with the floor plan you got from the estate agent, and simply tells you what overlaps, what sticks out and what blocks a door.
How we use AI
Two optional features use AI, both part of the Moving Pass:
- Floor plan import sends your uploaded image to an AI vision model, which reads the rooms, doors, windows and printed measurements. We then scale and tidy the result with our own code. The image isn’t stored.
- AI auto-place sends a text description of your plan and furniture to a language model, which suggests a layout. We check every suggestion against the same overlap and door rules you see in the planner and ask the model to fix anything that breaks them. You decide whether to keep it.
AI makes mistakes. Treat both as a head start and check the result.
How it makes money
Planning one home with up to 25 pieces of furniture is free. The Moving Pass, a one-off £10 for 3 months, unlocks unlimited plans and furniture, floor plan import and AI auto-place. There’s no subscription, no advertising and we don’t sell your data. See the privacy policy.
